This is the first blog post of the series "Inspiring people to follow and listen to" ☺
Many of us spend some/a lot of time online, some of it on social media, YouTube, Spotify,... And all those operate on algorithms, don't they? It is mainly the algorithms (based on the browsing history) that decide what content will appear on our home page and in suggestions.
So let's make the algorithms work for our benefit, shall we? Let them display inspiring and educational content that will help us improve our English along the way.
I'll start with my favourite neuroscientist Andrew Huberman. ♥
In this short video, he affirms my belief that watching, reading, or listening to inspiring people improves our lives because we're influenced by what we consume. He adds that on a subconscious level we are likely to make better decisions then. So let's not consume rubbish! ☺
Andrew's not only knowledgeable, eloquent and well-spoken (and easy to understand even for laymen), but also very pleasant to look at. Wink-wink!
I hope his practical advice will enhance the quality of your life. You can follow him on social media, YouTube, or go directly to his podcast here.
I'll add two more shorts from YouTube with practical tips:
"Andrew Huberman, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and tenured professor in the department of neurobiology, and by courtesy, psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford School of Medicine. He has made numerous significant contributions to the fields of brain development, brain function, and neural plasticity, which is the ability of our nervous system to rewire and learn new behaviors, skills, and cognitive functioning."
